Maple Syrup Festival
This is one of the events you don’t want to miss in the month of March. It is a fun family affair with interesting activities such as all-day pancake festival, taffy making, wagon rides, and sugar shack demonstrations as well as pioneer and native demonstrations. Park member are admitted for free while others pay admission fee of less than $10.
Taste of Orangeville
The Taste of Orangeville takes place in August and during this event, Orangeville’s best restaurants will be serving shoppers and food junkies with some of the finest menus from talented chefs who can only be found in Orangeville. The Taste of Orangeville event is characterized by sumptuous foods, live music, extended patios, and fantastic shopping. If you are a visitor, this would be an ideal time to have a taste of what the local cuisines have to offer.
Annual Orangeville Rotary Ribfest
This is a three-day event that begins from the 15th to the 17th of July. The event is organized by Orangeville Rotary Club. It takes place at the Alder Street Recreation Center, and it features great music and fantastic ribs for the entire weekend.
Island Lake Seven Bridges Run
Island Lake Seven Bridges is an event for all ages, and it takes place in the month of May. It is essentially an athletic event for both professional runners and first-time runners. The participants are given the freedom to choose between the 5km or the 10km courses. A medallion and great foods await all the participants after the end of the race. It is also important to note that this is a charitable event with all the proceeds going to various Lions Projects in the community.
Haunted Walk of Orangeville
The Haunted Walk of Orangeville takes place in October, every year. During this event, participants, being led by Education Programmer Julie MacDonald and former DMCA Curator Wayne Townsend, are treated to tales of fabled ghost sightings, gruesome misfortunes and mysterious occurrences believed to have taken place in Orangeville many years ago. The walk terminates at Steakhouse 23 – one of Orangeville’s finest and oldest buildings.
